I cannot recommend this garage highly enough! My husband phoned them for some advice after our car had suddenly lost 1st, 3rd and reverse gear. He spoke to a member of staff called Ian who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He offered to take a look at our car completely free of charge to see if he could diagnose the problem. My husband dropped the car off that evening, not expecting it to be looked at for a while and to our surprise Ian had kindly stayed on late to see us! He took a look at our car and knew what the problem was straight away. He advised us that when our replacement steering pump had been fitted (two weeks previously at our local garage) it had interfered with the gearbox causing the issues we were having. We took the car straight back to our local garage who fitted the pump, they admitted fault and fixed it immediately with no charge. Thanks to Ian’s impeccable knowledge and genuine honesty he saved us spending £1200 on a new gearbox which we were over the moon about especially coming up to Christmas! The customer service we received from him was outstanding from start to finish and he went above and beyond our expectations. We are so grateful for all your help and if we have any further problems with our car you will be our first choice! Thank you again.

This is customer service way beyond anyone’s expectations
Ian and the team replaced, under warranty in December 2016, the gearbox for our 2002 Peugeot motor home we had recently purchased from a local dealer. After fitting, it came with a 12 month / 20,000 mile warranty, whichever came first. Excellent service and workmanship from the start. All good for 7,000 miles and 2 1/2 years later, fast forwards to 2 months ago (march 2019), trouble changing into 3rd. Back up to Ian and the team, and without a fuss, he said, even though we were 1 year and a half out of warranty, they would honour the full cost of a new box, including fitting as it should have lasted for so much longer.
This is customer service way beyond anyone’s expectations. I cannot praise or recommend this company enough, I was expecting, quite rightly to foot the bill and offered to pay the labour costs but Ian was clear that they would do the job – no quibble, no fuss. Now I have what feels like a new van – box is great, smooth and much lighter – they even sorted the clutch cable out and greased that and lifted the bite point as part of the job. How good is that
All of the team are so polite, courteous, friendly and helpful. I took up 2 cases of beer as I had to give them something for their work.
